Anna + Robert's Strawberry Matcha Wedding at Cornhill Castle

Anna and Robert’s August wedding at Cornhill Castle was ridiculously stylish. Soft pinks, light sage greens, beautiful pastels everywhere… basically a full strawberry-matcha colour palette and I was very into it.

What I loved most about this day though was how creative and personal it felt. So many thoughtful details, but none of it felt over-styled or staged. Just a really relaxed, romantic day that still looked incredible.

Getting Ready at Cornhill

Everything happened on site which always makes the day feel calm and easy. Anna got ready in the castle with her bridesmaids while Robert and his crew were in the cabins. The morning had such a lovely buzz to it with lots of excitement, lots of laughter, and a steady stream of beautiful details appearing as everyone got ready. Anna’s look was effortlessly chic, with her dress from Aimee Bridal Couture and delicate accessories from Kit and the Bobbin.

The Colour Palette (aka Strawberry Matcha Energy)

The bridesmaids wore a mix of soft pink and sage green dresses, all slightly different styles but perfectly complementary. It looked so good together - modern, relaxed and really fresh. Florals by Floral Menagerie were incredible (as always). Loose, wild arrangements in soft pastel tones that tied everything together beautifully. Anna also designed the stationery herself, and one of my favourite details of the day was the stained glass style welcome sign she painted. My couples are ridiculously creative and I love seeing that kind of personality show up in the details.

Ceremony & Confetti

The ceremony took place inside the marquee with Ronit the Humanist, with ceremony styling and florals from Make Believe Events. Afterwards everyone headed straight out onto the lawn for a beautiful confetti moment thanks to Confetti Bee. Big cheers, petals everywhere, and the castle behind them. Exactly the kind of joyful chaos I love.

Creative Touches

There were so many fun additions throughout the day. Guests could get little sketches done by Aulternative Weddings (a past bride of mine, which was very cool to see). There was ice cream from Tricycle Treats, cake from Jappa Cakes, and a brilliant team of photo/video/content creators capturing everything. It felt like a proper collaboration of great suppliers.

Golden Hour & Parasols

Later in the evening we slipped away for a quick wander around the grounds while the sky turned the most perfect soft pink. Cornhill is great for this - ten minutes outside, some gorgeous portraits, and then straight back to the party. At one point we also snuck Anna and her bridesmaids out during the dancing for some editorial style photos with their chic parasols, which was very fun and slightly fashion shoot energy.

Planning a Cornhill Castle Wedding

Anna and Robert’s day is a perfect example of how well Cornhill Castle weddings flow. Everything happens in one place, the grounds are beautiful for portraits, and it gives couples loads of space to make the day their own. Stylish, relaxed, creative and full of personality. Exactly the kind of wedding I love photographing.
