Morgan & Andy’s Stylish, Pink-Filled Wedding at Broxmouth Courtyard

Some weddings just radiate calm and connection, and Morgan & Andy’s day at Broxmouth Courtyard was exactly that. It was modern, feminine, and oh-so-stylish - think elegant pink details, thoughtful personalised touches, and even a few nods to Taylor Swift (which always gets a big yes from me ). Nothing felt overdone or cheesy; instead, it was refined, heartfelt, and full of meaning.

Getting ready & a ceremony filled with love

Morgan & Andy both got ready on site at Broxmouth, which is one of the things I love about the venue – everything feels intimate, but it can still host a great number of guests. When it came time for the ceremony, the wonderful Paul Browett (Scottish celebrant extraordinaire) led things beautifully, as he always does.

One of the most moving parts of the day was Andy’s personal tradition in honour of his mum. Since she passed away, he’s often written her letters and then burned them as a way of staying connected. For the first time, he chose to include this ritual in the ceremony. Watching him burn that letter, surrounded by their family and friends, was such a powerful and symbolic moment.

Portraits by the sea (and a lighthouse!)

For portraits, we nipped five minutes down the road to the beach - one of Broxmouth’s best perks is how close it is to the coast. The wind picked up just enough to send Morgan’s veil flying in the most cinematic way, which was so fun to shoot. From there, we headed to the nearby lighthouse for some modern, stylish shots before returning to the venue in time for speeches

Later in the evening, we took a short stroll to the lake that sits right on the Broxmouth estate. The light was soft and golden, and it gave Morgan & Andy a few quiet minutes together before the party really got going.

A reception full of fun (and Taylor Swift references)

The reception space at Broxmouth Courtyard is separate from the ceremony, which means no awkward turnarounds - such a dream for both couples and suppliers. Morgan & Andy filled it with elegant styling, plenty of pink details, and of course, more Swiftie-inspired touches.

Their guests brought the energy from heartfelt speeches to a packed dance floor later in the evening. The outdoor photo booth was buzzing all night (yes, the photographer, videographer and content creator team may have squeezed in for a few snaps too). It was fun, lighthearted, and full of genuine joy and a reflection of Morgan & Andy themselves.

Why I love Broxmouth Courtyard weddings

Broxmouth Courtyard has quickly become one of my favourite Scottish wedding venues. The ceremony space is beautiful, the reception barn is modern and spacious, and you’ve got so many options for portraits - whether that’s a five-minute drive to the beach, a wander down to the lake, or (in spring) even the wild garlic fields that surround the grounds.

Everything is right there on site, from prep through to party, and it manages to feel both intimate and premium at the same time. If you’re planning a Broxmouth Courtyard wedding, it’s a venue that really does have it all.

Morgan & Andy

Morgan & Andy were just the kindest souls, warm, calm, and completely connected with each other. Their energy really made the day, making every moment feel meaningful. Photographing them at Broxmouth Courtyard was such a joy, and I’d love to be back there again soon.
